Design System (Cobalt=Project Blue) ongoing
Walmart.ca encountered multiple issues with differences and miss-match visual experience throughout their customer journey. There is an urgent need for a comprehensive design system that standardizes the look and experience for customers and streamlines the production of components and templates for designers. One source of truth for all visual elements on site.
This is an ongoing project that has been started with a creative audit of current experience. A roadmap was created to research best practices and follow recommendations of accessibility guidelines.
Phase 1: Fundamentals
The first phase is to assess, audit, research, and recommend the design fundamentals – the base of our developing system. Colours, Typography, Layout, and Spacing were part of the first phase.
